We are one of the original Tahoe families and are very excited to share our story with you.

William J Maxwell Jr. built our current Little Red Cabin in 1920. He and is wife, Amelia Irene Brougher (Irene) had no children as she died shortly after their marriage of ptomaine poisoning. His siblings Agnes and Agatha who were spinsters and through them the patriarch of our family George Maxwell Wright and Uncle Otis (William Otis Wright the head of the Nevada State Highways). Soon after, Otis quick-claimed his share to George Maxwell Wright. Learn more about how we came to Tahoe here, or read on below to meet the family as we are today.

Meet Our Family

  • Maureen & Ralph Hull

    The oldest grandchild of George Maxwell Wright and his wife Helen, Maureen is the daughter of Maxine Wright McClain and Billy Lee McClain. She and her husband Ralph reside in Findlay, OH.

  • John Otis & Dawn McClain

    The second oldest grandchild of George Maxwell Wright and his wife Helen, John is the son of Maxine Wright McClain and Billy Lee McClain. He and his wife Dawn reside in Las Vegas , NV.

  • Amy & Corey McManus

    Also a grandaughter of George Maxwell Wright and his wife Helen, Amy is the daughter of Ann Wright Graham and Robert Graham. Amy and Corey reside in Vaccaville, CA.

  • William Maxwell & Kerry Wright

    The youngest Child of George Maxwell Wright and his wife Helen. Bill and Kerry reside in Concord CA.
